Name: Talonclaw.
Gender: Tom.
Age: 18 moons.
Desired Rank: Warrior.
Desired Clan: StormClan.
Physical Description:
Talonclaw has a brown-colored pelt. It’s almost a dark brown, but not quite. He has a darker brown chest, going from the bottom of his chin to the start of his belly. His eyes are a deep amber color, almost blending in with his brown fur, and his nose is black rather than pink. He doesn’t really work out or anything, but Talonclaw is almost always in shape. He’s slightly lean, and he has a bit of muscle, although that doesn’t show very much. But he isn’t scrawny; he’s a tiny bit skinny, but not nearly to the point where you would be able to see any bones like the ribs. He tries to exercise a little when he’s hunting. Talonclaw does not have any scars on him in current times, but he has not yet gotten into any fights. He hasn’t been chosen for many border patrols yet either, so he hasn’t gotten into any Clan battles. But he wouldn’t mind getting any scars, even though it’d hurt. He believes that if he had a scar, it would represent that he stood up for himself.
Personality:
Talonclaw is a very cold, somewhat shut-off type of cat. He follows his head more than his heart, which sometimes gets him in trouble at times. He’s always serious; he hardly laughs or takes a joke from anyone. He always acts like everything needs to be taken as seriously as possible. He rarely smiles; if you saw one, you could consider yourself lucky if you hung out with him a lot.
Talonclaw can often be found outside of camp, probably somewhere where not many cats would be found. He enjoys silence and he likes to be alone, but he won’t say no if a good friend of his asks to hang out with him. Unless he feels annoyed at the moment that they ask.
As mean or grumpy as Talonclaw can seem, he has his kind moments. For example, he’ll always grin a little if he visits the queens after they have new-born kits. If a cat from his Clan is in trouble in a battle, he’ll run to their aid as soon as he gets the chance to. If he’s protecting someone, he won’t let them get hurt. When he has a goal, he’ll do all he can to achieve it.
But he has his fears. Talonclaw is afraid of losing. Losing anything. Whether it’s a match, a friend, any Clan member; anything. He’s afraid it would mean that he did not try his hardest and that he had failed his life’s meaning. Not only is he afraid of losing anything, he is also afraid of becoming attached to others. He worries that if he becomes attached to someone, he’ll fail to notice other important things, and end up being unable to protect everyone as best as he can.
Character's Past:
When Talonclaw was a kit, he grew up with a she-cat in the nursery. They became friends pretty fast, and they ended up being apprenticed at the same time; they would always go training with each other unless their mentors said otherwise, but that was rare. But after a while, their training sessions would begin to start at different times and by that time it was rare that they could train together. A few moons later, Talonclaw’s friend became a warrior before he did, when he’d always hoped that they would become warriors together as they had become apprentices. After her ceremony, Talonclaw would always sit in his den and think about her, hoping she wouldn’t forget their friendship. He decided that once he became a warrior, he would always protect her so he couldn’t lose her again.
Around a moon before Talonclaw became a warrior himself, his mother had been murdered in a battle against loners that had been invading the territory at the time. She’d always taught him to be strong and stand up for himself no matter what happened. When he had his warrior ceremony, he promised he would always try his hardest, even if it meant risking his life.
Roleplaying Example:
A pair of deeply amber-colored eyes glanced around their surroundings, looking for any signs of prey within the area. A bush rustled in the distance; Talonclaw opened his jaws. When he could taste the air, the scent of mouse hit the roof of his mouth almost instantly. After licking his lips with longing for the food, he crouched into a hunting position. He tried to stay light on his paws as he followed the scent of the mouse, trying his best not to be heard by it. A few moments later, he found the mouse.
The mouse was nibbling quickly on a piece of his own food, but as it felt Talonclaw’s presence it looked up. Luckily for Talonclaw, it didn’t not see where he was and it went back to eating. Talonclaw began to creep slowly toward it, as quiet as possible. He was about two tail-lengths away from it now, and he was growing slightly impatient from his hunger. Talonclaw leapt at the mouse, and pounced on it with his claws unsheathed. But his claws missed his target as he landed; the mouse scurried away out from under Talonclaw’s big paws before he could strike again. What? I had it right there! Talonclaw thought, frustrated. Before he could’ve tried to stalk it again and attack, the mouse had disappeared. Talonclaw let out an annoyed-sounding sigh. He turned around, deciding to go back to camp to relax, lashing his tail from side to side as he walked.
